Since 2021 we have been busy growing our first-class direct cremation service which offers individuals and families all over the country a simple alternative to a traditional funeral service.
Like many of our employees, you might not have considered our industry before, however, we are proudly disrupting what has been a very traditional market by offering new choices, innovative ideas and a service that delivers on both quality and value.
The role
This role is a 6 month Fixed Term Contract to cover maternity leave. We are looking for someone with excellent copy writing skills and a strong understanding of SEO focused content.
As an evolving business, there is still lots of content to build, ideas to try and analysis to identify what works well.
You will have a key role to play in developing relevant high-quality optimised copy and content across our website and digital channels. 80% of the role is website focussed.
You will have a real opportunity to own site content and user journeys, creating and implementing new content in line with the wider marketing team.
This rewarding opportunity involves:
- Develop content in line with the content marketing strategy helping to deliver business and commercial objectives, in line with our overall brand and marketing strategy and plan.
- Plan, write and upload SEO optimised content for the website, and relevant content across other digital channels (email, website, social media, off-site) within the agreed content .framework, collaborating with our SEO agency, and internally with subject matter experts where relevant.
- Reviewing content provided by SEO and partner agencies, proofing, putting through compliance processes and uploading to CMS.
- Coordinate and implement the organic social content calendar.
- Monitoring and responding to social comments in line with brand guidelines.
- Monitoring of reviews, flagging and inputting into system so that website is up to date.
- Ensure all content is compliant with Financial Conduct Authority regulations and work with the Compliance Manager to ensure continued and ongoing compliance, managing the asset master list.
- Work with external agencies, edit and proof-read content written to ensure consistency with tone of voice and relevance to target audience.
- Measure and report on the effectiveness of content produced against agreed metrics.
About you
- Proven work experience as an SEO and commercially focused content manager / copywriter.
- Able to demonstrate successful campaigns that met objectives and conversions, for both organic and conversion KPIs
- Demonstrate the ability to distil technical concepts into clear and concise messaging that is communicated visually and compellingly through the appropriate content delivery mechanisms
- Good organisational and time-management skills with ability to manage multiple projects.
Desirable:
- Ability to use web analytics tools such as Google Analytics and Hotjar
- Working knowledge of digital marketing tools (CMS, Meta Business Manager, or CRM systems)
